What Came first, the chicken or the egg?

Rain, Rain Go Away! By the Way, Stay Away!

The answer to the age old question is a no-brainer...

The Chicken came first, but the concept applies perfectly to the fact that along with my Bipolar disorder I suffer from fibromyalgia. (1) According to a doctor who is a Psych Central Blogger, more than 25% or more of people who are diagnosed with bipolar are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed in 2009 with Fibro after a traumatic end to a relationship and the super lightening speed of me getting into another. Yay ME! The pain increased exponentially. I went through the mill of  specialists to determine where the burning pain was coming from. The medications were nice little drunk spells. (Yea, Not a good thing) Finally, a Rheumatologist decided to test me for this chronic condition. Well, I passed with flying colors for all 18 points of pain.

Louisiana weather is often diagnosed as Bipolar...I kinda agree. {Well, today I don't care about the name calling (there goes my 'i laugh at weird things mood').} One day it is 30 degrees and the next is in the 70's. It is my biggest enemy. I feel every weather front the day before it comes through. My skin burns like it is on fire , my energy level is zapped, my brain stays in a fog, and the pain alternates from the top to the bottom. As a matter of fact, I have stopped writing many times this evening because it is so difficult to complete coherent thoughts. I am surprised that I am spelling so well.

At this point my irritability is off the charts. As I have gained wisdom of what to expect and how to handle my emotions better, I have learned to curve the outburst. Unfortunately, as my pain increases and i become more exhausted, my filter is, well, a little thinned out.

So what came first? I have suffered with Bipolar Depression for as long as I can remember. I have tampered with my bodily chemistry by taking so many awful medications. Though the meds I take seem to even me out (when I take them consistently), I still struggle to understand what the hell i am going through. What I have learned is that things that we suffer with in our mind deeply affect our bodies. No one seems to understand what causes Fibromyalgia. Some even think it is 'All in the Mind'...LOL of course it is. Be blessed and #keeptheconversationgoing . We are NOT crazy. We are unique! Love yourself...
